Aakash Goel is a Vice President with BVP India in Bangalore. He has ~ 10 years of experience across investing, consulting and entrepreneurship. Aakash focuses on investments in Digital (Internet and Mobile) and enterprise SaaS.
He is on the board of LivSpace, Home First Finance Company, RemediNet and NetAmbit and is closely involved with the firm’s investments in BigBasket, Hungama, MediAssist and Anunta Technologies.
He joined BVP from Sequoia Capital where he focused on investments in technology, consumer internet and payments sectors.
Prior to Sequoia, Aakash worked with McKinsey & Co serving clients across India and North America in Technology, Outsourcing and Financial Services sectors, where he helped clients on issues related to business scale-up/growth, market-entry/strategy, operations transformation, post-merger integration/turn-around, Capex/Opex right-sizing.
Aakash holds a B.S. from IIT Roorkee and an MBA from IIM Calcutta and was awarded merit scholarship at both the institutes for academic excellence.
Aakash is a trained private pilot and an avid mountaineer. A little known fact about him is that he has trekked up to the Everest Base Camp.
